What is the best internet provider in Chicago? - rcn chicago channels

I have Comcast cable internet, and more recently lost packets every few minutes since the summer. I think it was an update that hurts, just because two recent reviews read that I have the same problems that I had mentioned. I'm happy for the fastest Internet in Chicago, the price is not really a problem. AT & T, Verizon, 1and1, RCN, SBC, etc.? Even though everyone knows that Chicago is becoming the technology of fiber? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
